Tamanna Midha is a trade marks associate based in India.
Tamanna has rejoined LexGeneris as a Trade Marks Associate, having previously worked with the firm as an intern. Her earlier experience with LexGeneris gave her valuable exposure to the firm’s international IP practice, collaborative working culture, and client-focused approach, and she now returns to support the firm’s growing trade marks and brand protection practice.
At LexGeneris, Tamanna supports clients in protecting, managing, and commercialising their intellectual property across multiple jurisdictions. Her practice focuses on trade mark prosecution, portfolio management, brand protection, and intellectual property advisory, with experience across both Indian and international trade mark systems.
Tamanna assists businesses in developing, protecting, and maximising the value of their brands through strategic trade mark protection and commercially focused IP solutions. Her work includes conducting comprehensive trade mark clearance and availability searches, assessing registrability risks, preparing and filing trade mark applications, responding to examination reports, and supporting opposition and enforcement proceedings.
She also has experience in drafting and reviewing a range of intellectual property agreements and related documents, including trade mark assignments, licensing agreements, coexistence agreements, and cease-and-desist notices. In addition, she assists clients with portfolio maintenance, prosecution strategy, and brand protection initiatives.
As part of the firm’s brand protection practice, Tamanna assists with identifying unauthorised brand use across digital platforms, including social media, online marketplaces, and domain names. Her work supports enforcement strategies designed to preserve clients’ trade mark rights and protect brand value in an increasingly digital marketplace.
Her experience also extends to commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, and intellectual property due diligence, allowing her to approach trade mark matters with both legal precision and commercial awareness.
Tamanna holds a Master of Laws, LL.M., in Intellectual Property and Business Laws from the National Law Institute University, Bhopal, India. Her specialised education enables her to understand the intersection between intellectual property, business strategy, and brand value, and to deliver commercially informed and practical support to clients.
Before joining LexGeneris as a full-time member, Tamanna gained experience with leading intellectual property and corporate law practices, including Khurana & Khurana, Jain & Partners, Alba Law Offices, Legrand India Group, and Sui Generis. In these roles, she advised on and supported matters involving trade mark prosecution, brand protection, commercial agreements, and regulatory compliance across diverse industry sectors.
